yeah their pay is pathetic, that's y not many ppl would wanna work with the gov. Can't even buy petrol for their cars...
that is not all.
there's cost of living allowance (cola) - RM300
critical allowance - RM500 or 10% of salary whichever is higher
for west malaysians posted in east malaysia and vice versa
regional allowance - 17.5% / 15% of salary
+
housing allowance - about RM500 depending in which town you are in
+
critical allowance (as above)
of course the pay is still meagre compared to docs in other countries.. can't blame many who want to leave after their compulsory service in the government to work on their own.
