If rich and poor refer to the monetary side, I think this quote is distasteful. What does a privileged, blessed (with high IQ), born to a upper middle class family knows about millions of the under privileged people out there; mentally challenged, hardcore poor countries, sick, etc ?

i guess he is talking about average ppl. most quotes doesn't work on special group of ppl anyway.

still, i'm uncomfortable with solely using money as the yardstick.
fact; the rich are insular (blameless so), presumptuous (not a fault), and know a lot more about making money than you do. i don't begrudge their position and want to kill myself for not able to learn their lesson.

yeah, lets not begrudge them. the rich usually lie on their deathbed and wrote an autobiography, which include how they wish they had stop to smell the roses and spent more time with their loved ones. ( hope it doesn't taste like sour grapes. :p )
perhaps the African quantify rich and poor by the number of elephant trunks they buried with them in their tomb.
