Magical Christmas 2013

Posted by HuiHui on 11:15 AM
We had a magical Christmas this year. We had our very first proper Christmas tree, our first roasted whole chicken and our first homemade gingerbread man. Spent some quality family time with visiting parent-in-law and the kids. Ming Han even brought the kids out for outing on different day to fully focus on each of them. Ming Han and I also managed to catch a movie while PIL babysat the kids. It has been quite a while since my last movie in cinema.

Time flies. It really does. Just not too long ago, I stopped playing piano because perfecting Chopin nocturnes didn't go too well with going through 1st trimester. In a blink of an eye, that “baby” sat for his 1st piano exam. Lucas sat for Grade 1 of Trinity College London on 11.11.13.

This is definitely a trip to remember, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it was a bloody expensive trip (or maybe we’re not earning enough)! Secondly, it was decided at the very last minute, i.e one week plus before the trip (Gasp…crazy ar?). Thirdly, it was a great adventure to explore a new city with 2 little kids while MH was working. Thankfully they were awesome little travelers, despite the dreadful weather. Sometime they had to walk and walk and walk because taking a cab was very expensive. Sometime they had to walk and walk and walk because their mother had no sense of direction. Sometime they had to miss their afternoon nap. Sometime they simply dozed off in the baby carrier/cab/tram/train/bus. Sometime they went hungry for very long because they didn’t like the food that daddy ordered for them. Sometime they went hungry for very long because we couldn’t find fried rice for them. Sometime they had to run like mad to catch that free tram. Sometime they had to squeeze like sardine in the free shuttle bus. Sometime it was freezing cool and yet daddy still had not finish taking photos of that damn garden. Sometime their parents drag them to the 14 hours Great Ocean day tour, across 600km in a day, to see some rocks! J
