Not a clay that we mold!

Posted by HuiHui on 7:42 AM
I read something profoundly beautiful the other day.

There is this author, Linda Eyre wrote about kids being seedlings and not lumps of clay that we mold. If we give them the nourishment and fertile soil they need, they will become their best selves but as we know, each seed is destined for something different.

I totally agree!

white hair or no hair?

When the little guy was younger (~5 months old), his babysitter told us that he just loved to play ( she always use positive words if possible ). Then, the feedback that we got was "active". Now, we are getting more of "cheeky" and "full of tricks".

Last weekend:
Me: Do you think we will have any black hair left when we're turning 40?
MH: Maybe we don't have any more hair.

My ahdi is so funny la!

reasons to celebrate

Posted by HuiHui on 10:03 PM

1) To celebrate that the little guy was in best of mood yesterday. That meant we all get to sleep peacefully from 11.30pm to 6.30am, with only 2 feedings in between. Yeah! No screaming, no crying, no tantrum in his sleep.
2) To celebrate the success of nailing down the super nasty bug after 5 days. It's gone for now. Yah!
3) To celebrate the little guy's persistency. He can cry for 6 hours NON-STOP. He can survive without drinking for long time ( in my definition ).
4) To celebrate the little guy's strong fighting spirit; making it a hercules task for 2 fit adults forcing some stuff into his mouth. Won't give up struggling like forever. Won't give up after splitting out the same medicine three times. Never give up. Never.
5) To celebrate MH's proven crisis management skill. He stayed cool under crisis.
6) To celebrate our narrow escape from hospitalization. It was so close... really close.
7) To celebrate the success of our experiment. It was proven that car ride at 1am can stop the little guy from crying - throughout the ride.
8) To celebrate our ability to remember our name even under heavy fog.
9) To celebrate our ability to dig up so many reasons to celebrate.
